The Cyclotron is a Nerf ball blaster that was released in 2003 under the Atom Blasters series.
It comes packaged with six Ballistic Balls.
Details
It is fired by turning a crank on the right side of the blaster. The crank operates a kind of rotary paddle mechanism that takes a ball from the blaster's eight ball tube magazine and thrusts it through the barrel, firing it. It is not designed for left-handed use.
History
During production, the Cyclotron was under the name Rapid Fire Ballzooka. This was to be the replacement to the Ballzooka MP150.
Unlike the other blasters in the Atom Blasters line, this blaster was not re-released under the Action Blasters line and was discontinued after only a few years of production. Today, this is among the rarest blasters in modern times due to the early cancelling of production.
Trivia
- This blaster's hand-crank function is seen with only one other blaster; the 1994 Razorbeast of the Max Force series. To date, no other blasters use this mechanism.
