The DartFire is a Nerf Super Soaker that was released in spring of 2017 under the Nerf Super Soaker series.

It comes packaged with five Elite Darts.

Details

Similar to the older Switch Shots series, the DartFire is an attempt to incorporate both darts and water into a single blaster. However, its dart and water-firing aspects are powered by different means.

The dart-firing component of the DartFire features a five-dart rotating cylinder with a double-action mechanism much similar to the Dart Tag Snapfire 8. The water-shooting aspect of the soaker is pump-action and piston-pressurized.

On top of the DartFire is the cap for the water tank, as well as an area to store up to five darts.

Official description

Modification

The dart-firing part of the DartFire is a self-contained unit which is almost a pistol-like blaster, even with its own trigger (which the shell's trigger actuates through a pull bar). This would made it a good candidate for reshell or shell minimization modifications as a sidearm. It can not, however, be used as its own standalone blaster, as the trigger's return spring is attached to the shell, instead of to the self-contained blaster.

Reloading and firing

To fire darts with the DartFire, simply load five darts into the cylinder above the main barrel. Pull the firing trigger to fire a dart.

To shoot water with the DartFire, unscrew the cap of the water tank and then fill it with water. Push and pull the pump to shoot a stream of water.

Trivia

  • The pump-action soaker element can be used as an aditional dart launcher simply by slipping a dinking straw over its nozzle and using it as a dart post.
