History
Edit
Much like the original purpose of the Clear Series, it was a count down to the 9-10-11 Vortex campaign.
Color scheme
Edit
The blasters in the Gear Up sub-series featured an orange, black, and white color scheme. Some parts of the blaster have "unique black and orange deco designs", or diagonal black lines, that go from top to bottom of the casing of the blaster. Special Gear Up darts had diagonal black lines traveling across them as well.

Trivia
Edit
- In a way, this can be considered Nerf's most promotionally failed sub-series, due to the fact that Vortex had already creeped into stores and appeared on insider blogs before 9-10-11.
