Details[]
A Glow-In-The-Dark Dart is a variant of various other dart types that glow in the dark by various means. This is best viewed in a dark environment, either indoors with the lights off or outside at night. Darts with Glow-In-The-Dark variants include Mega Darts, original Micro Darts, N-Strike-era Micro Darts, Streamline Darts, Elite Darts, and Collectible Darts.
There are two different ways that they can glow in the dark. Older variants, such as Mega Darts, require special phosphorescent paper stuck onto the dart's body; newer variants, such as Streamline Darts and Elite Darts, have a special quality to the dart body that allow them to glow. The dart heads of all Glow-In-The-Dark Darts act similarly. The "Glow Tip Darts" included with the Hidden Shot are a unique variant that only features a glowing head.
Glow-In-The-Dark Darts require exposure to light in order to be "charged" for use. To help with the glow-in-the-dark process, many blasters that come packaged with them have battery-operated internal lights that flash the darts with light for a moment when the firing trigger is pulled.

History[]
The first blaster to feature Glow-In-The-Dark Darts was the 1995 Ambush Rip Rockets Hidden Shot. Referred to as "Glow Tip Darts" on the packaging, only the head was able to glow in the dark.
Proper Glow-In-The-Dark Darts were later made available with the 1997 Max Force Electric Eel; it features a translucent four dart clip to allow the darts to be charged while loaded into the blaster. These darts never featured a refill pack, and were the only to feature phosphorescent paper.
The Glow-In-The-Dark Dart was revisited in 2003; Micro Dart variations were released along with the Firefly REV-8. Unlike the Mega Dart version, they were given a refill pack, making it easy to obtain them. These darts would also be the first time the glow-in-the-dark capabilities were built into the foam itself.
The N-Strike Light It Up Rayven CS-18 featured the release of Streamline Dart variants of the Glow-In-The-Dark Darts in 2012. They require the use of a Firefly Tech clip to "charge" and glow.
The N-Strike Elite Rayven CS-18 is the only Elite blaster to feature Glow-In-The-Dark Darts. Released in 2013, these glowing darts were based off of the Elite Dart. Like the Streamline Darts before, they require the use of a Firefly Tech clip to "charge" and glow. Like the Micro Dart version, refill packs were released.
In 2014, the Rebelle Super Stripes Collection sub-series featured the Rapid Glow, making it the only Firefly Tech Rebelle blaster. This blaster introduced the Collectible Dart variant of the Glow-In-The-Dark Dart.
Starting in 2016, the GlowStrike series of Nerf Star Wars blasters featured their own glow-in-the-dark ammunition, similar to Glow-In-The-Dark Elite Darts.
