The GunSmoke is a single-fire break-action Buzz Bee blaster that was released in 2014 under the Air Warriors series. Three "AA" batteries are required to power the smoking feature.

It comes packaged with four Micro Darts, four shells, and a GunSmoke cartridge.

Details

The GunSmoke is a break-action dart blaster similar to that of a Buzz Bee Double Shot, X-Shot Vigilante or Nerf N-Strike Barrel Break IX-2. It has a novelty feature; the ability to emit smoke whenever it is fired. This is achieved by using the included GunSmoke cartridge, which is placed and screwed into place underneath the main barrel. It features shell ejection, much like the Double Shot, Hawk and most other Buzz Bee blasters which utilize shells, and an ammunition compartment, which is located in the buttstock of the blaster.

Unlike most other blasters, the GunSmoke has two plungers; one for firing the dart, and one to create a blast of air to send a plastic rod in the blaster forward which activates the mechanisms that cause the weapon to smoke.

The smoke emitted by the blaster, although very novel, is said to smell acrid by those who own the blaster.[3]

History

The GunSmoke was first identified on August 13, 2013 when trademarks for said blaster and a few others related to newer Air Warriors products appeared on Trademarkia.[4] It was then first seen in April 2014.[1]

Reloading and firing

To reload the GunSmoke, push down on the orange switch at the rear of the blaster. While holding down the switch, push the barrel downwards all the way. Take a shell, loaded with a dart, and place it in the exposed port of the barrel. Push the barrel back up until it locks into place.

Pull the firing trigger to fire a dart. After firing and when loading the next shell in, the spent shell should eject out of the port.

Trivia

  • This is the first time smoke effects have been implemented into an actual blaster, but this is not the first time it has been achieved. By simply dipping darts in flour, they will emit a "smoke" trail from whatever blaster they are fired from.
