The Hades XVIII-6000 is an upcoming Nerf blaster that will be released in fall of 2018 under the Phantom Corps sub-series.
It comes packaged with sixty High-Impact Rounds, two flags, and instructions.
Details
The Hades is a large pump-action blaster with the ability to be slam fired. In the back, is an integrated stock, with a strap point just below it. It is internally fed like the Artemis XVII-3000, and has an integrated magazine that holds up to sixty rounds at once. It features one very long tactical rail on top of the blaster.
History
The Hades was originally leaked in summer of 2017, along with other Phantom Corps blasters such as the Prometheus MXVIII-20K, the Helios XVIII-700, and the Kronos XVIII-500. Its name was originally unknown and a distributor website later unintentionally revealed its name.[2] It was later officially announced on January 24, 2018[1] and shown off at the 2018 New York Toy Fair.
Reloading and firing
To reload the Hades, slide back the front, plastic cover over the integrated magazine; this will uncover the opening where rounds can be placed. Load up to sixty High-Impact Rounds and slide the cover back over the opening. Pump the blaster with the priming handle to prime it.
Pull the firing trigger to fire a round.
Trivia
- The Hades XVIII-6000 is named after Hades from Greek mythology, who was the god of the underworld. Hades was also a son of the Titans Rhea and Cronus (after whom the Kronos XVIII-500 is named). He had three sisters: Demeter, Hestia, and Hera (after whom the Hera MXVII-1200 is named), as well as two brothers: Poseidon and Zeus (namesake of the Zeus MXV-1200).
- The Hades XVIII-6000 could be regarded as a successor to the Artemis XVII-3000, possibly because of the extended stock, and similar features. However, the Artemis could still be used effectively as a secondary because of the lack of a stock.
