The Longshot front blaster is a Nerf blaster and barrel extension that was released in 2006 under the N-Strike series.

It comes packaged with the Longshot CS-6 and cannot be purchased separately.

Details[]

The LongShot front blaster is a single-fire blaster that, unlike the Longshot, is a reverse plunger blaster. It does not feature any tactical rails. It has a single dart holder on the top. Often when modifying a Longshot, modders may integrate the Longshot front blaster under it, where the bipods are normally located.

Due to this blaster's very small prime, it has low stock ranges.

History[]

The Longshot front blaster was not re-included with the release of the 2014 Zombie Strike Longshot CS-12, an updated variation of the Longshot CS-6. It is unknown why it was not included; a similar situation occurred when the eight dart ammo rail was removed from the Barrel Break IX-2's "Elite Repaint re-release. A logical explanation as to why the front blaster was removed could be because of the difficulty of getting the front blaster's range up to seventy-five feet to match most modern blasters.

Despite this, the later 2015 Elite Repaint re-release of the Longshot included the front blaster. This makes the repainted front blaster one of the last reverse plunger blasters to ever be made by Hasbro.

The 2020 ICON Series re-release of the Longshot included a front blaster with similar appearance to the yellow N-Strike version, albeit with less paint operations and an orange priming handle.
