It is a very small device that is to be planted in an area, and upon contact with a moving object, will emit a loud alarm. The device itself features the typical N-Strike color scheme of orange, yellow and black, although it bears to resemblance to any other Nerf product. It is advertised to have adjustable sensitivity, which may help in battle depending on the circumstances of the game. A similar movement detector was featured in the Action Kit.
It is likely that, although this may be under the Nerf name, it was not actually made by Hasbro. Further evidence to support this is the logo on the box, which differs from the N-Strike logo, and resembles the logo used on the Disk Shooter.
The Movement Detector was first unveiled at the 2013 Toy Fair.
