The Nemesis MXVII-10K is a Nerf blaster that will be released in fall of 2017 under the RIVAL series. It requires six "D" batteries or a rechargeable battery pack to be operated.

It comes packaged with a Nemesis hopper, one-hundred high-impact rounds, and instructions.

Details

The Nemesis MXVII-10K is a fully automatic blaster. It features two tactical rails: a long rail on top of the blaster and a smaller one below the muzzle. On either end of the top rail are integrated, flip-up sights.

Unlike previous blasters, the Nemesis uses a large removable hopper with an agitator that advances the rounds into its flywheels. The feeding mechanism will not operate when the hopper is removed.

History

The Nemesis was originally leaked online on January 20, 2017. Five days later, it was officially announced on multiple news media sites.[1]

Color schemes

The Nemesis has been released with the following color schemes:

  • Team Red (red, black, and orange)
  • Team Blue (blue, black, and orange)

Reloading and firing

To reload the Nemesis, load up to one hundred foam rounds into the included hopper. Place it into blaster's magazine well.

To fire a round, hold down the acceleration trigger to rev up the flywheels. Hold down the firing trigger briefly to fire one round, or hold the trigger for automatic firing. It may take a moment for the flywheels to come to full speed; firing before that can reduce the blaster's range.

Trivia

  • The Nemesis MXVII-10K is named after Nemesis (also known as Rhamnousia or Adrasteia), a goddess in Greek mythology who enacts vengeance on those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods).
  • With its 100 round hopper, the Nemesis MXVII-10K has the second-highest ammo capacity of any single feeding Nerf blaster in history, the first highest being the N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire, which was advertised as having a 144-dart capacity.
  • 10K is an abbreviation for the number 10,000.
