The Range Shot is a single-fire Nerf blaster that was released in 1998 under the Hyper Sight series.
It comes packaged with three Mega Darts.
Details
The Range Shot is a typical single-shot blaster with an interesting gimmick; this blaster is designed with a hinged barrel, allowing the user to shoot darts in an arc. A piece of plastic with angle measurements is attached to the barrel; this allows the user to precisely angle their shot. The blaster is cocked by pulling the plunger rod forward, much like the Hidden Shot. There are two ammunition holders on the left side of the blaster.
History
The Range Shot sold well enough to be listed as a "Perennial Best-Seller" in 2000.[2]
It is unknown when the blaster was discontinued.
Reloading and firing
To reload the Range Shot, simply place a dart in the blaster's muzzle and pull forward on the plunger rod until it cannot be extended forward any further.
To fire, pull the trigger.
