|This product has been discontinued.
It cannot be purchased in retail stores. The only way to obtain it is through second-hand websites and stores.
It comes packaged with five Micro Darts.
The RipChord does not have a trigger; it is instead fired by pulling on a cord that extends out of the blaster two ways. The cord can be pulled either forwards or backwards to fire five darts in mere seconds. This helps give the blaster an extremely quick rate of fire. This method has not been used on any other blaster except for the 2001 Power Nerf Slingfire DX400. The blaster features a tracked handle and a built-in sight at the top of it.
The RipChord, alongside the Triple Torch, are the only Mega Blitz blasters to not have their updated 1998 packaging surface yet. It is possible the blaster was not re-released with the updated 1998 packaging at all.
Reloading and firing
To reload the RipChord, put up to five darts into its front turret.
Pull the cord either way to fire darts.
- The RipChord appeared in some 1998 catalogs with a red cord instead of the black cord which was released with the final production blaster. The same red misprint can also be seen on the back of the blaster's packaging.
