Not to be confused with the 2015 Rebelle Secret Shot.

The Secret Shot is a single-shot Nerf blaster that was released in 1995 under the Nerf Action series.

It comes packaged with three Micro Darts.

Details

The Secret Shot is a simple, spring-powered blaster with a surprise attack function. It is designed to be able to trick opponents into thinking the blaster wasn't loaded by having a dart loaded into the handle. The ammunition holder atop the blaster is used to switch between barrels. When the holder is on its side position, the blaster fires out of the handle instead of the main barrel.

Although the blaster is intended to fire Micro Darts, it is said to be able to also fire Mega Darts.[2]

History

It was succeeded by the 1999 Airjet Power Secret Shot II. This blaster used the secret barrel technique again, although it was air-powered and used Mega Darts instead of Micro Darts.

Reloading and firing

To reload the Secret Shot, simply place one Micro Dart in both the front muzzle and handle muzzle.

To fire the blaster normally, flip the orange ammo holder to the top of the blaster. Pull back the plunger to prime the blaster and pull the trigger to fire.

To fire the blaster out of the secret handle, flip the orange ammo holder to the left side of the blaster. Pull back the plunger to prime the blaster. Hold the blaster up so that the handle is aiming towards the designated target; pull the trigger to fire.

Trivia

  • Due to how darts are loaded into the Secret Shot, darts with tight fits onto its peg will be damaged after being fired.
