Edit
As the name implies it is supposed to resemble a scarab. It has no trigger and is instead fired by a plunger which snaps into the blaster. The scarab has wings on the blaster's shell, which are constructed of a translucent red plastic. Despite the interesting appearance, the wings do not have any function.
Two ammunition holders are located on the scarab's arms.

| Category | Score | Notes |
| Firing range | 10/10 | This blaster has a firing range of up to thirty-seven feet. |
| Accuracy | 6/10 | This blaster has very poor accuracy. This is due to the blaster's firing style. |
| Reliability | 6/10 | The Scarab can't jam. However, the blaster is designed for younger Nerfers, so older Nerfers will have a hard time holding it. |
| Rate of fire | 6/10 | This blaster fires about one dart a second. |
| Capacity | 2/10 | This blaster holds one dart at a time. |
| Final score | ||
| 6/10 | The Stinging Scarab is a poor blaster. Its only positive aspect is its firing range, which is good when compared to other Max Force blasters. | |
