SuperMAXX is a series of Nerf blasters that was released in 1997.

Details

History

The series was first introduced in 1994, however was not used under the Nerf name until 1997. It was introduced as a counterpart to Larami's Super Soaker brand. Many SuperMAXX blasters were originally owned and produced by Larami under their own SuperMAXX series. However, Larami was bought out by Hasbro in 1995, and their previous SuperMAXX blasters were re-licensed as Nerf blasters under Nerf's own SuperMAXX series.

The series lasted for three years before it was discontinued in 2001. After the series' discontinuation, several blasters were modified and re-released under the 2002 Air Tech series.
