While it has a different name, it is essentially a Thunderstorm. It is powered by PowerSoak Technology.
It comes with the same color scheme as the Thunderstorm, except that the white and dark blue parts of the blaster are switched around.
|Firing range||6/10||The Lightning storm's range is slightly higher than that of the Thunderstorm; however for a blaster of its size, a range of twenty-five feet is not good.|
|Accuracy||7/10||This blaster has slightly better accuracy to a certain distance. Its stream is still very tiny, limiting how powerful it could have had.|
|Reliability||5/10||This blaster takes a few seconds to fire after a fresh reload as it must charge. It also has an extremely poor stream, which is very weak. The blaster is rather noisy and also uses batteries, so it is not recommended for pool use. The shield that comes with it is also cumbersome and does not block much water at all.|
|Capacity||10/10||This blaster comes packaged with a water drum, giving it 1.2 liters of water, the highest capacity of any Nerf Super Soaker.|
|7/10||The Lightningstorm is overall not a powerful blaster, but did offer some good improvements from the Thunderstorm, mainly in the form of the included accessories. Its range, reliability and water stream are all still not very strong and are easily outclassed.|
