- 3 Sonic Micro Darts or Whistler Darts
- 1 Switch Shot EX-3
- 1 Red Reveal
- 3 Whistler Darts
Details[]
The Switch Shot EX-3 is a single-fire blaster that can double as a controller for use with the Wii Remote. On the left side of the blaster is an orange button, which unlocks and allows for the removal of the top half of the blaster. This, in turn, removes its internals, providing space inside for a Wii Remote to sit.
When used as a shell for the Wii Remote, pulling the Switch Shot's firing trigger will press the controller's B button. The top face of the controller is exposed, allowing users to press the buttons located there with no issue. The ear of the controller is also exposed, providing a space to attach a Wii Nunchuk for games that require it.
In blaster form, the Switch Shot features a space to store two additional darts under the muzzle. A tactical rail sits underneath this storage spot
It advertises a firing range of up to thirty-five feet (ten meters).

Join the virtual battle in NERF N-STRIKE from EA, with this air-powered, foam-dart blaster that converts into a controller for your Wii Console video game system (not included). Simply slide out the launching mechanism, and snap in your Wii Remote controller (not included) to turn the SWITCH SHOT EX-3 blaster into a cool controller that can be used with most Wii games (sold separately). Convert this blaster back to a dart blaster and launch the included whistling SONIC MICRO DARTS ammo up to 35 feet away! |
Color schemes[]
The Switch Shot has been released with the following color schemes:
- Nerf N-Strike (yellow, black, and orange)
- Nerf N-Strike Elite (blue and orange)
Modification[]
The Switch Shot EX-3 features a direct plunger system.
Trivia[]
- The location of the tactical rail makes smaller attachments such as the Pop-Out Bipod, Assault Grip, and the Strikefire the only tactical rail accessories to not restrict access to the grip. Other accessories like the Dual-Mode Light Beam will restrict access to it.
- Due to the removable nature of the blaster's internals, it's possible to reload the Switch Shot by swapping two separate internals for each other. However, this is unreliable and slow compared to a standard reload.
