Not to be confused with the Switch Shot Super Soaker or the Switch Shots series of Super Soakers.
The Switch Shot EX-3 is an external single fire Nerf N-Strike blaster that was released in 2008 under the N-Strike series.
It comes packaged with the Wii video games Nerf N-Strike or Nerf N-Strike Elite; it can also be purchased separately from the games.
It comes packaged with either three Sonic Micro Darts or three Whistler Darts; this is up to the user's choice. The Nerf N-Strike Elite version comes with a Red Reveal accessory.
Details
There is a tactical rail located underneath the blaster. On the left side is a small orange button, which allows users to open up the blaster to load in a Wiimote, allowing it to be used for the Nerf video games or other Wii shooter games.
Color schemes
The Switch Shot comes in the following color schemes:
- Nerf N-Strike (yellow, black, and orange)
- Nerf N-Strike Elite (blue and orange)
Reloading and firing
To reload the Switch Shot, load a dart into the blaster's muzzle. Pull the plunger tube back to prime the blaster.
Pull the trigger to fire a dart.
Trivia
- The poorly placed tactical rail underneath the barrel makes the Pop-Out Bipod, Assault Grip, and the Strikefire the only tactical rail accessories to not restrict access to the grip. Other accessories like the Dual-Mode Light Beam will restrict access to it.
- The hole for the blaster's plunger system allows for the attachment of a Nunchuck controller when a Wiimote is inserted as well as the wrist strap attached to the Wiimote.
