Details

The TerraScout is a fully-automatic, clip system, remote controlled, blaster-like drone that has the ability to fire darts. It comes packaged with a 720p video camera, which can be equipped and viewed through the remote on an integrated LCD screen; this can be doubled as a portable aiming device. It has two tactical rails: one on its built-in handle and one below the muzzle. It is also compatible with barrel extensions.

The TerraScout is all-terrain (except for wet conditions) and can be used both indoors and outdoors. It features four switchable channels, allowing for multiple TerraScout units to work at the same time.

Some clips with differing capacities may be too long or too heavy for the TerraScout and may cause movement problems (mainly due to angling upwards or downwards for firing, or the exposed clip bumping into surroundings such as doorways or indoor furniture).

Record Battles Kids can record battles with the Nerf N-Strike Elite TerraScout RC drone. The remote-controlled TerraScout drone features a live video feed to view out-of-sight targets with the LCD screen on the controller. Nerf players can scout the battlefield to locate targets and plan an attack before entering the field of play. When the Nerf competition begins, they can record action skirmishes in photos and videos to show family and friends. All the functions including the drone movement, camera, and dart blaster, are operated with the included controller. SD card required (not included) to record videos and take photos. Remote-Controlled Dart Blasting Unleash remote-controlled dart blasting with the battle-ready Nerf N-Strike Elite TerraScout tank drone. The drone includes an 18-dart clip and comes with 18 Elite darts. Use the controller to adjust the angle of the blaster and launch the darts. For calculated blasting, press and release the trigger to fire 1 dart. To deliver an 18-dart deluge, press and hold down the trigger to launch all the darts rapidly. History

In 2017, a new version of the TerraScout was released, known as the TerraScout Recon. The new version features a black color scheme and comes with a thirty-five dart drum. This variant was a Toys "R" Us exclusive product.

• The TerraScout is the first Nerf product that can move remotely, fire darts, and record video footage all at the same time.
• The TerraScout is suggested to be a spiritual successor to the Combat Creatures TerraDrone, being superior to it in mobility, firing rate, and terrain adjustment.
• It is the first Nerf drone to be compatible with barrel extensions, tactical rails, and the clip system.
• While the Cam ECS-12 includes an SD card for its camera, the TerraScout does not.
• The TerraScout's battery recharger is only compatible with American wall sockets, and will require a power adapter in countries with different plug types.
