Template:Infobox Nerf product The Thor Lightning Strike Hammer is a promotional Nerf melee weapon that was released in 2014 to promote the Thor: The Dark World film. It requires three "AAA" batteries to operate its light and sound effects.
Details
It is made to resemble Mjolnir, Thor's trusty hammer. It is made of the typical foam used in most Nerf items. It features an electronic screen; upon pressing the button located on the handle slightly beneath the hammer itself, the screen lights up and shows various patterns, such as lightning bolts. Sounds are also exerted from the hammer.[1]
History
It is the successor to the 2011 Armor of Asgard Thor Hammer, on which it is heavily based.
It was released alongside the Thor Battle Hammer. These hammers use very similar designs; the pattern on the electronic screen of this hammer and the front of the Thor Battle Hammer both show a blue bolt of lightning, and both hammers have a nearly identical shape.
