While Hasbro says they won't release any new blasters and the wiki lists this series as discontinued, you can still find it on the official store and some retailers. Is it technically discontinued or not?

I don't like it entirely, as my friends usually will kill me after shooting them. :P
I think the demand for Vortex is high here because we like to use the XLR discs as coasters for our maple syrup jugs.
