The Thunderhawk is a Nerf blaster that was released in fall of 2018[1] under the AccuStrike Series.
Included contents[]
- 1 Thunderhawk
- 10 Mega AccuStrike Darts
Details[]
The Thunderhawk is a bolt-action blaster that can be deployed out into a longer form. Unlike longer barrels on some blasters, which damper firing performance, the extended barrel on the Thunderhawk is wide enough to not hinder performance.[2] It features an integrated horizontally-fed ten dart clip, which auto-advances on the prime. A short integrated shoulder stock is on the end of the blaster, and an integrated collapsible bipod under the blaster helps to keep it stable when in its extended form.
A single tactical rail sits atop the blaster. There are also two sling points built into the back stock.

Blast the most accurate Nerf Mega darts with the first Nerf Mega AccuStrike blaster! The Thunderhawk blaster comes with 10 AccuStrike Nerf Mega darts that are designed for accuracy and are the most accurate Nerf Mega darts*. Go long and go strong on the battlefield with the Thunderhawk blaster -- it’s the longest Nerf blaster of all, measuring 41 inches (1 meter) when extended. Slide the barrel to adjust the length, load the 10-dart indexing clip into the blaster, and get ready to take on opponents with bolt-action blasting. Carry it into battle when the action demands mobility, and use the bipod to stabilize it for distance shots in a fixed position. *Accuracy based on test data comparing precision and repeatability of darts fired under controlled conditions at target 30 feet (9 meters) away. See Nerf.com for details. Ability to hit target will vary depending on user’s skill, dart condition, and other factors. |
History[]
The Thunderhawk was officially announced on January 23, 2018, along with the Infinus.[1] It was later shown off at the 2018 New York Toy Fair.
Modification[]
Despite being not meant to be removable, some Thunderhawk clips can actually be removed from the blaster with no modification. [3] Similarly, Using a card or another flat object, the clip can be removed from the blaster, thus allowing the blaster to be narrowed down for storage.[4]
Trivia[]
- It is the second longest Nerf blaster, surpassing the Centurion by 0.3 inches.
- Because of this, the Thunderhawk could possibly be considered a successor to the Centurion.
- The blaster's bolt is removable for storage. Ironically, this feature is pointless due to the blaster's fixed clip always being in the way.
- When the barrel of the Thunderhawk is extended, the tactical rail on it moves with it. This makes it very hard to see through any scope or sights attached to the rail.
