The Walkie Talkie is a Nerf-branded Sakar International product that was released in in 2011. It requires one "9V" battery to use.

Details

The Walkie Talkie features an older N-Strike color scheme that contains a rugged design for efficient outdoor usage; however, the original Walkie Talkies are not branded as N-Strike products. The majority of the Walkie Talkies are plastic, but there are black rubber treads on the side for a better grip. The Walkie Talkies have a maximum range of up to 1,000 feet, or 304.8 meters, according to the packaging.

Like similar accessories, they are not directly produced by Hasbro. Instead, they are outsourced and licensed from Sakar International.

History

In 2013, they were re-released with an updated color scheme similar to that of the N-Strike Elite series; despite this, packaging branded it as an N-Strike product. Performance is said to remain unchanged. In 2016 another re-release of the Walkie Talkies took place, this time as an N-Strike Modulus product.

This would be the first known outsourced walkie-talkie sold under the Nerf brand, though not the last; several further products would follow, including the updated Rebelle Walkie Talkie, the FRS Walkie Talkie, the Night Talkie, and even the Walkie Talkie Watch.

  • Original (yellow, black, and orange)
